Adding Aromatherapy to your massage is a wonderful way to enhance the physical and emotional experience during a Massage Therapy Session. Infusing lotions with plant derived essential oils can help with stress relief, pain management and muscle tension by both inhaling the scents and absorbing them through your skin at the same time.

Essential oils have been known to target a variety of issues such as anxiety, insomnia, headaches and muscle tension. Adding Aromatherapy can also have benefits for your skin as well.

Aromatherapy can add a significant boost to your Massage Therapy Service for just a few dollars. Using one to two of these essential oils can add huge benefits like Anti inflammatory properties, anti-spasmodic properties and can also benefit your mental health and overall well being.

Below is a list of the different essential oils that I offer for Aromatherapy. Pick one or Blend two to maximize the benefits.


lavender: The sweet floral aroma of lavender has been known to calm the nervous system and help reduce feelings of stress and anxiety. When your body relaxes faster it is easier to work the deeper layers of muscle and release tension, which can also help give you longer lasting relief.

Lavender is also known for it's Anti-inflammatory and Healing properties. This can not only help soothe irritated skin, it can also help act as a gentle pain reliever and help relieve inflammation in the muscles as well. It's no wonder Lavender is one of the most popular Aromatherapy scents out there.


Lemongrass: This uplifting citrusy scent has a multitude of benefits including providing refreshing mental uplift, reducing irritability and promoting feelings of serenity. This makes Lemongrass a wonderful addition to your Massage Therapy Session as it can help achieve a deeper state of relaxation quicker. In addition to it's relaxation qualities, lemongrass also is known to stimulate blood flow, encourage lymphatic drainage which helps clear toxins from the body.

Lemongrass doesn't stop there, This powerful Essential Oil also has analgesic and anti-inflammatory properties to soothe sore muscles, relieve joint pain and give relief to strains and arthritis.


Sage: This earthy woodsy essential oil is known to calm nerves, relieve muscle tension and cramps and has powerful anti-spasmodic properties. Sage has been known to improve overall circulation making it a wonderful Enhancement for those that suffer from frequent cramps and aches.

In Addition Sage Aromatherapy added to your Massage Therapy Session can help Elevated your mood, promote feelings of calm and optimism, reduce negative emotions and foster a sense of courage and inner peace. Sage is a great way to help help restore your mind body connection while promoting health on the inside and out.


Clove: Clove is warm woody and spicy and when used topically as aromatherapy can add numerous benefits to your Massage Therapy session. First Clove Essential oil is a wonderful addition because it creates a natural warming feeling on the skin. This can help achieve deep relaxation and tension relief quickly. By boosting blood flow to the area Clove can also assist with residual muscle soreness.

In addition to leaving you feeling stimulated and uplifted, this aroma can also have wonderful benefits for your skin. Clove is antimicrobial and can calm itchy and irritated skin.

**Clove should be avoided by those on blood thinners.



Eucalyptus: This crisp and cool scent is woodsy and minty! Eucalyptus is a powerhouse providing muscle relief, stress reduction, enhancing mental clarity and providing respiratory support by clearing congestion this essential oil packs a punch. Eucalyptus can be a great way to keep those sinus passages open while you are face down!

The stimulating effect of Eucalyptus essential oil can also enhance blood flow which can promote faster healing and reduce inflammation.


Peppermint: Strong, sweet and invigorating peppermint is a great choice for those tired and overworked muscles. Peppermint essential oil has been known to stimulate blood flow to help deliver oxygen and nutrients to the tissue. The cooling Menthol effect helps relax tight muscles and ease inflammation.

Peppermint Essential Oil can also have wonderful mental benefits when added to your Massage Therapy Service. The refreshing aroma promotes relaxation and well being while also combating mental fatigue.


Cedarwood: This complex scent is warm, earthy and woody with subtle smokiness. Cedarwood is a great addition to any Massage Therapy session, it's anti-spasmodic properties are great for those that are experiencing leg cramps or achy muscles. With a warm relaxing quality that also opens the airways and eases congestion this can be a wonderful way to add some deep warming relief to your muscles while also helping your breath deep and relax while we work out those deep aches and pains.

Cedarwood has many amazing qualities, but it is also wonderful for the skin and hair. This essential oil can clarify skin, calm inflammation from things like eczema or psoriasis on your skin. When combined with scalp massage Cedarwood can balance oil, moisturize your hair and scalp and reduce dandruff.
